THE FREDERICK HAYES DANCE COMPANY

The Frederick Hayes Dance Company is a multi-generational dance performance workshop, directed by Frederick Hayes. The purpose of the company is to build healthy family activities through dance and make the performing art of dance accessible to everyone. Since 1996, the company has expanded its performing repertory of African, Afro-jazz dance techniques and has included Liturgical dance. The fusion of all three-dance styles has enhanced the community support the company has received over the years.

The objective of the Dance Company is to preserve the presentation of the company’s repertoire; to bring diverse ethnic and social groups together to work on a viable theatrical expression; to provide dance/theatrical instruction on a non-profit basis to community residents in the greater Boston Area; and to build a family based dance performance workshop for the communities of Boston.
